Kaitlin Rohowetz was a chronic dieter with a longtime interest in nutrition. She knew that “skinny” wasn’t necessarily the same as “healthy,” but it wasn’t until she learned how to change her dietary habits that she was able to maintain a healthy weight and achieve a feeling of true health and wellness.
With her new sense of well-being, Kaitlin wondered if she could help others make the same change, but her research into ways to become a dietitian only resulted in expensive, 4-year college degree programs for aspiring healthcare professionals. Finally, she found the perfect alternative to becoming a dietitian in the Become a Health Coach (BHC) program at Health Coach Institute (HCI).
Training at HCI presented Kaitlin with potential opportunities she knew she couldn’t have received from a traditional post-secondary degree program. By studying coaching rather than diagnosing (and preparing for credentialing), she developed her skills in teaching that self-improvement technique she already knew so well: habit change.
She also learned personal and business planning skills for completing projects efficiently, rather than relying on haphazard passion and drive. Ultimately, HCI brought together Kaitlin’s aspirations with the skills she needed to achieve them.
HCI prepares aspiring Health, Life, and Nutrition coaches for successful careers with a unique curriculum focused on habit change, instructors who are experienced in coaching, and a community of supportive staff, mentors, and fellow students.
